TOP Games of All Time (2025) 60-51
TOP 60-51
60. Millennium Blades
SPOT: 2024 >> 2025 -4
Publisher: Level 99 Games
Players: 2-5
Playing Time: 80-120 minutes
Mechanisms: Open Drafting, Hand Management, Real-Time
Sleeves: TCG 63,5x88mm, OSDS 90x140mm
A game simulating a Trading Card Gamer? It's amazing how they managed to capture such a meta theme and make a great game around it. This game has real-time elements with "opening" boosters and trading and deck construction, playing in tournaments... and all of this in a relatively short time.
59. Aeon's End
SPOT: 2024 >> 2025 -4
Publisher: Indie Boards & Cards
Players: 1-4
Playing Time: 60 minutes
Mechanisms: Cooperative Game, Deck Building
Sleeves: TCG 63,5x88mm
A cooperative deck builder with a twist. When you discard cards, you will place them in order that you want, so you will also draw them in the same order. This game has the same problem that other cooperative games have, that I cannot get myself to replay it a lot once the scenario is won... but there are A LOT of scenarios and expansions available.
58. Lords of Waterdeep
SPOT: 2024 >> 2025 -4
Publisher: Wizards of the Coast
Players: 2-5
Playing Time: 60-120 minutes
Mechanisms: Worker Placement, Contracts, Set Collection
Sleeves: TCG 63,5x88mm
Somehow this worker placement game manages to envoke the theme. I always feel like I'm hiring adventurers and send them out to finish quests. If you cannot convince your brain to accept the theme, then it's just a generic game.
57. 100 Swords
SPOT: 2024 >> 2025 -4
Publisher: Laboratory Games
Players: 2
Playing Time: 25 minutes
Mechanisms: Deck Builder, Hand Management
Sleeves: TCG 63,5x88mm
A 2-player deck builder that has the element of exploration. Instead of buying cards from a market, players will venture into a dungeon and who knows what they will find in the next room. Maybe a monster that will give end game points or a new equipment that will be shuffled into the deck and help you out in the following fights.
56. Hanabi
SPOT: 2024 >> 2025 -4
Publisher: ABACUSSPIELE
Players: 2-5
Playing Time: 25 minutes
Mechanisms: Cooperative Game, Hand Management, Communication Limits
Sleeves: STN 57,5x89mm
Your cards are turned away from you. You can only see other player cards. On your turn you can play one of your cards or give another player a very limited clue.. I cannot recommend this game highly enough. Every house should have this game on their board game shelf.
55. Awkward Guests: The Walton Case
SPOT: 2024 >> 2025 -4
Publisher: Megacorpin Games
Players: 1-8
Playing Time: 45-75 minutes
Mechanisms: Deduction, Hand Management, Trading
Sleeves: TCG 63,5x88mm
This is a great deduction game for bigger groups. It also runs a bit longer than average but at the end of the session, you do get a good detective sitcom like feeling. Definitely an improvement over Cluedo and similar games.
54. Expeditions
SPOT: 2025 NEW
Publisher: Stonemaier Games
Players: 1-5
Playing Time: 60-90 minutes
Mechanisms: Action Retrieval, Deck Building, Hand Management, Multi-Use Cards, Solitaire Game, Worker Placement
Sleeves: TCG 63,5x88mm
This game has a surprising combination of Worker placement and deck building where you try to make a combo and run it till you win. Hopefully your combo is faster than your opponents. With this simple idea in mind... the game is much bigger than it was needed to be. On the other hand, because of the size and presentation, you do get a grander experience.
53. FUSE
SPOT: 2024 >> 2025 -3
Publisher: Renegade Game Studios
Players: 1-5
Playing Time: 10 minutes
Mechanisms: Cooperative Game, Dice Rolling, Real-Time
Sleeves: TCG 63,5x88mm
A real-time craziness. This game is frantic and chaotic, but it's also short enough that you get a good spike of emotions while not getting tired. Rolling dice, trying to talk with other players, collecting sets.. all this at the same time that other players are doing the same.. such a fun mess.
52. Istanbul: The Dice Game
SPOT: 2024 >> 2025 -3
Publisher: Pegasus Spiele
Players: 2-4
Playing Time: 20-40 minutes
Mechanisms: Dice Rolling, Set Collection
Sleeves: MED 43x67mm, BEU 80x120mm
A simple dice rolling game of collecting resources to exchange them for points. It's quick enough that it keeps players enganged. I always try to push this game to the table if we need to spend 30 mins without spending too much brain power.

51. Diamant
SPOT: 2024 >> 2025 -4
Publisher: IELLO
Players: 3-8
Playing Time: 30 minutes
Mechanisms: Push Your Luck, Simultaneous Action Selection
Sleeves: S70 70x70mm, TCG 63,5x88mm
