It's more of a solo game than anything esle.. because if you manage to find another person that is willing to spend 10-100 hours to play this game with you.. it's already a miracle.The exploration and learning of the continent to facilitate the next runs is a great idea.

Searching around the house until you get enough problems that one player gets crazy and now others have to survive/fight/escape the bad guy, a great idea that sometimes fails but usually is fun enough that this game is worth playing.

A puzzle game that will play with your mind. With all the monsters on the map, your brain goes into fight mode, but at the end of the day you need to kill just enough of them to not let the castle be over run, while you still need to finish the quest before the time runs out.

Fighting for the zones in the city and seeing your buildings grow up is a gimmick that attracts attention and leaves you with a good feeling at the end of the game. Add to this gimmick a deep game with plenty of decision and you have a great game.

We all played Catan and most of us loved the rolling that is not totally random and that gets you stuff also on the opponent's turn. Space Base takes this mechanism and pumps it up to the maximum. The feeling when you start hitting your rolls is amazing.
